Fort Worth Mortgage Bankers Association (FWMBA) has represented the mortgage industry in Fort Worth and the surrounding area since 1954. The FWMBA has long been committed to offering scholarships to local students to encourage representation and leadership in our industry.  Once again this year FWMBA will offer our Membership Legacy Scholarship.

This Scholarship will be awarded to active FWMBA members or their children/grandchildren who are graduating high school seniors and/or those already enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at any accredited university.

The characteristics and requirements to qualify for this $2,000 scholarship award are as follows:

  • The candidate should be an active member of Fort Worth Mortgage Bankers Association OR the child or grandchild of such a member;
  • The candidate should be a graduating high school senior accepted* to OR already currently enrolled in an accredited university;
  • The candidate should exhibit leadership ability;

Interested candidates should submit their applications on the following form by March 31, 2024.

*Due to the timing of the selection process, potential high school senior candidates may not have yet received an acceptance letter from a university to which they have applied. In the event the scholarship was awarded under these circumstances, the proceeds would be held until an acceptance letter was obtained. If one cannot be provided, the scholarship would then be awarded to an alternate qualifying candidate with the next highest score.
