About

FWMBA

The Fort Worth Mortgage Bankers Association (FWMBA), a nonprofit organization founded in 1954, has provided support, leadership, education and networking opportunities for Mortgage and Real Estate professionals in the Greater Tarrant County for more than 65 years. FWMBA members are dedicated to promoting opportunity and homeownership for all our neighbors in North Texas and consist of Mortgage Lenders, Mortgage Brokers, Mortgage Insurance Providers, Title Companies, Real Estate Professionals and other insurance providers. We are always looking for new members and sponsors, so contact us today to learn how you can get involved with the FWMBA.

Education

We offer continuing education for Loan Officers and Realtors. In addition, we encourage members to pursue the Certified Mortgage Leader (CML) program through the TMBA, or the Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) designation by completing all three of the School of Mortgage Banking classes, or participating in the Future Leaders program, or becoming a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) through the MBA.

Networking

Each month, we offer multiple opportunities for networking with other mortgage & real estate professionals and other partner professionals that support our industry. Come to a monthly luncheon at Joe T Garcia's, attend a happy hour, sign up to play or sponsor our joint DMBA / FWMBA annual Golf Tournament, or come to our Holiday Luncheon in December or our End of Year Luncheon in May.

Advocacy

We support both the TMBA and MBA’s efforts to represent our interests as an industry and work with legislatures to increase awareness, knowledge, and boost support for the mortgage industry. We encourage all of our members to join the TMBA Advocacy Army AND MBA’s Mortgage Action Alliance (MAA). We also encourage all of our members to individually support the TMBPAC and MORPAC with monetary donations.

Scholarships

We have a rich history of supporting our local colleges and providing $2,000 scholarships annually to students at TCU and TWU. We also provide a $2,000 FWMBA Legacy Scholarship to a member (or their children or grandchildren) to pursue higher education. There are also opportunities for members to be awarded scholarships from the TMBA like the Endowment Fund Scholarship or the James M. Wooten Future Leaders Scholarship in addition to other MBA sponsored scholarships.
